Mission & Purpose

MISSION

The mission of Delta Tau Lambda Sorority, Incorporated is to build and strengthen Latinas’ position in society through community service, commitment and professionalism. Together we will unite to develop and empower Latinas, women of color, and women in general through personal evolution and teamwork. We will continue to build a strong foundation of resources through networking and community connections. We will work in collaboration with diverse women to create opportunities for growth and change.

PURPOSE

Somos hijas de la historia y la experiencia. Our values and our strengths derive from where we come from. We come together to support each other, to identify common problems, and to define collective solutions. Women, especially Latinas, are placed by cultures in a tradition of modesty and silence, therefore, we must come forth and manage the many pressures on our roles in society as women, as women of color, as women with strength. We must realize what our sisters have gone through and what they continue to go through. There comes a time to bring together or strengths and our weaknesses to develop what we call women, Phenomenal Women, dedicated Latina women!
